Hi, I’m Sharlene Hanson - the hands and designer behind YippieYarnYay, from Scandinavia. I'm a crochet designer with a love for beautiful clothes, green tea and turning yarn into something worth wearing. YippieYarnYay brings together the things I love most: designing crochet garments, wearing them and helping others make their own. Think pretty crochet tops, cozy cardigans and sweaters that belong in everyday outfits. My patterns focus on wearable designs and clear, step-by-step instructions, with advanced beginners and intermediate crocheters in mind. The goal is simple: less second-guessing, more enjoying the making, and a finished piece to feel proud of. I’ve been interviewed in Inside Crochet, and my Lemon Collar design was published in Simply Crochet. I’m particular about brewing green tea, love baking muffins and cookies, and dream of summer even while making chunky sweaters. Alongside the shop, I share free crochet patterns and helpful guides on my YippieYarnYay blog. It’s a place to learn, find inspiration and build confidence, one project at a time.
